The Larzac gathering, organised between the 8th and the 10th August 2003 by a broad collective of alterglobalisation movements, constituted a meeting place for hundreds of thousands of people under the banner of global solidarity...

Despite the organisers blocking access to the site due to the risk of forest fires, people continued to pour in, some succeeding in filtering through the police barriers. From an enormous parking lot, the road led to the village, lined with stands selling foodstuffs...

The temporary village, set up on a vast open area, brought together the stalls and tents of the different movements; during the day they organised forums and activities. The central point was marked by the "crossroads of social choices"...

During the night, a concert was organised with numerous groups, and an enormous stage was constructed in the middle of the fields. On the periphery, the logistics for supplying the audience with food and drink. Below the stage, under a full moon, the festivities continued until early morning...
