I leave Torla in a storm, travelling east to the Anisclo Canyon. My destination is the junction between the valley of the Aso, and the deep opening of the canyon through which the Bellos River flows.

The Aso Waterfall is a few hundred meters upstream. The place has been taken over by water sports, groups coming down the river. This is a place where adrenalin may flow: one has to abseil down the side, and leap into the river. The bright coulours of the helmets and synthetic outfits, giving this sports activity a "professional" aspect, will constitute the raw material for the work of interactive photography.

The subservience of nature, relegated to the state of "natural leisure resource" which is put at the dispoisition of tourists in playground form, is source of ecological destruction within a fragile environment. This exploitation of place by leisure activities becomes a theme to be explored throughout this work.
